Stu Oakley has worked on some of the biggest film franchises in history including Barbie, Star Wars, Jurassic World, Harry Potter, Avengers and Frozen.

 

Recent unit publicity credits include Greta Gerwig’s Academy Award winning Barbie; Paddington in Peru, the highly anticipated third film in the Paddington series; Dan Levy’s directorial debut Good Grief; The Amateur starring Rami Malek; Mary & George, Sky’s deliciously dark 1600s drama starring Julianne Moore; Deep Cover for Amazon Studios starring Bryce Dallas Howard, and four seasons of the acclaimed Apple TV+ series Slow Horses starring Gary Oldman.

 

Most recently Stu was unit publicist on Netflix’s new Noah Baumbach movie, starring George Clooney, Adam Sandler and Laura Dern, and is currently working on the next instalment in the Jurassic World franchise with Scarlett Johansson.

 

During his tenure at the Walt Disney Studios, Stu led the UK team across its key studio brands including Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm and Pixar and produced award-winning campaigns, premieres and event activations for films including Avengers: Endgame, Black Panther, Beauty and the Beast, Toy Story 4, Frozen and the UK’s biggest film of all time, Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

 

Following Disney Stu launched the publicity collective and mentorship platform, ASSEMBLE Publicity, which has a focus to support underrepresented communities within the film and entertainment PR industry.

 

Stu is also a voting BAFTA member and in his spare time focuses on his writing. His first book was published by Pan MacmIllan in 2022, with his second due for publication in 2025.
